Cresswind At Lake Lanier Veterans Club

Members Present:  Amy DeVillez, Rosemarie Bower, Jim Snell, Kevin Pearson, Carl Lambrecht , Kandi Andrade and Robin Dickson

 

MEETING called to order:  by Amy at 10:00 a.m.

 

 

NEXT QUARTERLY MEETING:  Will be held on Tuesday, October 15th 

at 4 p.m. We will have guest speakers from the UNG Gainesville and Dahlonega campuses. 

 

FOOD PANTRY: The board will hand out the following checks at the quarterly meeting on Tuesday, October 15:  Good News at Noon ($2000); American Legion Post 7 ($1500);  Helping Hands ($1500). 

 

COAT DRIVE:  Dave Dittmeier will lead.  November 4-7.

This has been approved by the HOA.  There will be postings of this in the daily update.

 

FINANCIAL REPORT:  Balance as of 10/11/2024:  $89,725.69

We received donations and new members totaling $13,010.00

 

 

VETERANS IN NEED: Currently, we have not been able to disperse any funds.

 

 

OTHER DISCUSSIONS:  Amy will be stepping down and will not be able to be a member at large with us going forward.  The board and membership will miss her.  She has been a valuable member and asset to this community and to the Veterans Club.  We wish John and her the best as they move from Cresswind. The board voted that we would do something for Amy on October 15.

 

GOING FORWARD:  Kevin will now be the president until the end of the year.  Discussion followed by what we need to do and learn more about the Veterans Club.  We will be asking again at the general membership for members to volunteer to be on the board or other committees that we are looking at forming.

 

 

NEXT MONTHLY MEETING:  Friday, November 8th at 10:00 a.m. – Clubhouse.
