The Fall 2018 Food Drive is scheduled for Wednesday October 10th at 9:00 AM. Simply place your canned donations next to your mail box by 8:45 am. Our volunteers will begin pick up at 9:00 am. This is a successful semiannual event taking place each fall and spring.

Pick up bags for your use will be attached to each mailbox on Monday morning October 8th

 

Collection bags will be attached to mail box posts on Monday the 8th.  

 

HOMES WITHOUT STREET SIDE MAIL BOXES WILL HAVE THE BAGS ATTACHED TO YOUR FRONT DOOR ON THE 8TH. ON WEDNESDAY THE 10th PLACE YOUR BAGGED DONATIONS NEXT TO YOUR DRIVEWAY, BETWEEN THE SIDE WALK AND THE ROAD 

 

We continue to support local veterans in need in cooperation with the DAV and the DAV Women's Auxiliary for distribution. We thank you in advance your heart felt contributions. Our community draws raves from the DAV for our great support. Recent conversations with Congressman Collins and the President of the Gainesville Chapter of the DAV the need for any assistance is greater than ever. Medical advances since the Viet Nam Era, are bringing home more Veterans in need than ever before. The helping programs and services have fallen way behind the increased demand for Veterans returning from serving in the Middle East.
