Your DD 214 can be obtained by requesting a copy of your military records. The DD 214 is essential in obtaining benefits from the Veteran's Administration or other family assistance from the military at time of death.  Should you need to obtain DD 214 or your complete military record you can do so at:            https://www.archives.gov/st-louis/military-personnel.  

You will need your Social Security Number and dates of service.

If you are a veteran or next-of-kin of a deceased veteran, you may now use www.vetrecs.archives.gov to order a copy of your military records.

 

For all others, your request is best made using a Standard Form 180. This form includes complete instructions for preparing and submitting requests. Please Note: All requests must be in writing, signed and mailed to us at the address shown below.
